COVID-19: On Google Ad Credits for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses

We have been receiving enquiries from our customers and partners about the support from our digital marketing partner Google in their splendid commitment to help small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) during this challenging time by giving SMBs customers worldwide US$340 million in ad credits who use Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube, etc. all campaign types).



SMBs who have spent and used Google Ads in ten out of twelve months of 2019, and in January and/or February 2020.



Google will progressively be giving out the ad credit starting in late May 2020. Eligible SMBs will be notified and receive the ad credit. The ad credit amount will vary based on the SMB’s past ad spend on Google Ads, the country and currency where the business and Google Ads account is set up.

The ad credit can be used throughout the year for ad spend on Google Ads. The ad credit shall not be applied to billed / invoiced past or current (as of April 2020) ad spend on Google.

However, the ad credit must be used by 31 Dec 2020, after which, the ad credits shall expire and unused portion shall be forfeited.

We want to support fully of Google’s commitment to the SMBs and we pledge that whatever Google provides to us as a partner, we will fully disburse and pass the ad credits back directly to the respective customers’ account based on their ad spend on Google Ads via Knorex XPO.
